  • In 2016 I became self-employed, through this a gained valuable experience in various roles with in site work. This included quoting for jobs, liaising with clients directly and delivery each project to the customers’ individual need. I worked across many sites which included: schools and nursing homes along with service calls from an electrical company I worked closely with. I then moved on to contract work on a sub-contracting basis installing air conditioning units throughout pubs and nightclubs this led me to become the assistant site manager. I gained further skills and experience through this such as understanding site drawings, ordering materials for different trades, liaising with architects and trades to be able to complete the project to a tight schedule. I was responsible for managing the various trades ensuring the jobs were completed on time and to a high standard

  • My day to day role for this company consists of routine planned maintenance on a number of different systems from small single door refrigeration units, single split A/C units, VRV systems and chilled water plants. I also carry out fault finding and rectification works on these plants in a variety of different environments such as car dealerships, schools, office blocks, hospitals and hotels, this could involve anything from changing a controller to removing vast amounts of refrigerant and changing mechanical parts integral to the working of the machines. I also am a first point of call if there is any issue with a selection of clients when they have issues with their building management system. I also attend a particular client on a weekly basis to carry out maintenance diagnostic works and repairs their mechanical services plant (water pumps sets, HVAC systems and plumbing) during the day to day work I have to communicate between the client and the office via numerous different methods one being digitally in the means of a laptop so I am up to date on Microsoft word and excel

  • On a daily basis I was an integral part or an installation team carrying out large installs and refurbishments on new and existing refrigeration equipment. A large amount of my time was carrying out these works in a shift formation most of the time during unsociable hours and thought the length and breadth of the country and spending a lot of time away from home. Whilst doing this job I was involved in mounting pipework and electrical wiring for new installs connecting the internal units to the external condensers and situating in the correct place in line with the onsite drawings, then placing the systems on pressure test making sure the systems were gas tight and in conjunction under the F-gas regulations. I also assisted many commissioning engineers getting these systems up and running and functionally tested with in the specified times
