Key Skills:

 

As a Contract Supervisor/Electrical Manager, my overall responsibility was for the day to day operational activities, performance and Compliance of the contracts which consist of:

  • Compiling Gantt Charts
  • Monitoring the operational performance of both direct and subcontract labour. Continuous presence on site and liaison with subcontractors, architects, clients, suppliers and manufacturers
  • To ensure the CDM Regulations and Health & Safety Policies are complied with
  • Working overtime and unsocial hours to ensure that contract times are met
  • Reporting to the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors to ensure that the financial performance of the contract is monitored
  • Procurement of materials and subcontract labour at competitive rates and value for money
  • Assist the Project Managers in the continuing training and appraisals of apprentices. Liaising with Training Officers and Technical Colleges on their progress and course work
  • General office work, i.e., use of spread sheets, typing letters, experience in the use of Excel, Word, E-mails and Outlook
  • Quality Control of installations carried out by direct labour and subcontractors
  • Design and Installation of large PV systems to commercial and domestic properties

 

I have been responsible for large multi trade decent homes refurbishment programmes on large housing estates, which included:

  • New roofs (and timberwork where necessary)
  • New windows and doors
  • Installation of Central Heating Systems
  • New rainwater goods and drainage
  • External Insulation and Rendering
