  • Level 2 technical certificate in Plastering, including a Mobile Scaffold Certificate and a Health and Safety Certificate
  • Counterbalance and Reach Fork Lift Licence
  • Electrical Apprenticeship – NVQ Level 1 & 2 Electrical Certificates in Following plans
  • Handling Heavy Equipment

  • I am hard working, punctual and capable of working well under pressure. I work well in a team but capable of work on my own which means I have to be self-motivated to be able to complete my work in the allocated time given. I have a full driving licence and willing to carry out any training required to fulfil my duties and enhance my skills set
  • I paid for myself to attend college and completed courses in Plumbing, Plastering, and Building maintenance
  • I now have the skills set to carry out maintenance and repairs to a variety of building facilities to keep them fully compliant at all times

Key Achievement:

  • I achieved a lifelong ambition by attended a 3 week stunt course in Australia. During the course I completed 30ft high falls, stair falls, 10 meter high dive in to a swimming pool, V8 car driving, motocross biking, full human torch and fight choreography amongst many others

  • Started work as a mobile handyman to assist engineers in their general maintenance duties
  • Worked my way up to mobile service engineer carrying out maintenance duties on my own sites
  • This included, monthly emergency lighting testing, weekly fire alarm testing, water temps and flushing for L8 compliance, AHU servicing, FCU’s, general plumbing installs and repairs, breakdown response throughout the day

  • I have carried out full installs of heating systems including the boiler ready for a gas engineer to certify the work
  • An opportunity arose that was more suitable for my skills set so I move on to the above employer

  • While at college I was approached by the above company who offered me employment as a trainee builder and enrolled me on a building maintenance course which included all aspects of building maintenance
  • My role was to follow on from the install of new heating systems, making good all brick work, plastering, roofing (after the removal of the old flues) and joinery to make good airing cupboards and floor boards. I also liaise with the tenants to show them the correct operation of the new heating systems
  • Completed a course in building maintenance
  • I moved on from here to try to get into boiler servicing with the above company

  • Since beginning my plumbing training (see details under training section) I have assisted qualified plumbers and undertaken work on my own. This includes the changing of radiators, installing outside taps, fixing small leaks on heating systems and the installs of toilet systems and sink etc. I have also assisted plumbers in the replacement of central heating systems, while doing this I piped up the ground floor and basement of the property, using offsets and soldered joints, making sure that drain offs have been installed to the lowest part of the system
