Integral uk Mobile Gas Engineer

2018 – Present

  • In my current position my day to day tasks include but are not limited to, All forms of heating / boiler breakdown and maintenance within my skill set, boiler servicing, gas safety checks, General plumbing maintenance, pipe fitting, water heater maintenance, installation, booster set maintenance, AHU maintenance / inspection, Plant room maintenance and repairs, water temperature checks, TMV repairs / inspection CWS tank checks, leak detection, minor electrical works I.e. lamp changes and proving dead and safe, legionella checks, minor joinery repairs I.e. faulty doors, kitchen units ect. A key part of my role is to liaise with the building managers across the various sites I cover and keep site log books up to date and in order. As this contract looks after MOJ court buildings a huge factor in this role is security, as the courts house prisoners, I take the security procedures very seriously and adhere to them at all times. I also follow the various site safety rules and procedures very seriously and work safely at all times

Invincible Drain Care Plumbing / Drainage and

Maintenance Supervisor

2015 – 2018

  • In this job role my day to day tasks generally included all aspects of general plumbing and maintenance works such as leaking taps, traps, toilets, broken or faulty pipe work, water heater break downs (unvented), urinal blockages, Pump breakdowns, valve replacements, cold hot and waste water pipework installs, booster set maintenance and breakdowns, sanitary pump installation and repairs and much more. Fault finding and maintenance play a big part in my daily duties from emergency call outs to keeping all appliances / plant running smoothly with as little disruption to clients as possibles. A huge factor in this role is health and safety and abiding by specific site rules, this is imperative as I am currently working for such high profile clients such as Emcor, Honeywell, Bilfinger, Integral, Bam, and high security risk sites such as the ministry of justice court buildings and prisoner cells, United utilities water treatment sites and northwest electricity sites. Although plumbing is my main duty within this role it can be extremely varied and consists of minor electrical works, small carpentry works and general building maintenance task. After one year working in this role I was promoted to a working supervisor which entails, technical support for fellow engineers, overseeing large planned works and organising general operations for all engineers

Metro-Plumb / Metro-Rod Plumbing / Drainage Technician

2010 – 2015

  • The main duties in this position were to carry out emergency and reactive works on retail, commercial and domestic plumbing and drainage systems. There was also a vast amount of plumbing installation and repairs such as leaking toilets, sinks, pan connector and trap replacements, re-sealing and re-seating WCs, baths and sinks, Tap repairs, shower repairs and replacements and siphon changes
  • Preventive maintenance also played a large part in this role as it is essential to ensure mainly office buildings and commercial properties are left operating 24 hours a day with minimal problems. These targets are met by carrying out regular checks and practical maintenance. Within this role it was essential to have a varied basic skill set across other trades such as: basic joinery, tiling and electrical skills
  • In addition to the variety of different practical works there was also a very high standard of health and safety rules and regulations that needed to be followed at all times. I personally take these very seriously and followed them to the best of my ability
  • Workload management and liaison with fellow employees and subcontractors were two of the key areas which I developed rapidly and became accustom to over the years. I feel this role has made me a much more versatile and level headed individual.The bulk of my work was carried out for major FM companies such as: Carillion, Integral, Norland, Bt facilities, Bam and many more. There was also a large amount of work carried out for landlord, estate agents and social housing contracts such as: southway housing and mono

  • Throughout this period I worked for my father’s company
  • Delivering and transporting goods. This job role entailed long distance traveling to a variety of up market retail stores across England. Due to the tight schedules I quickly developed the ability to priorities and manage jobs according to importance. This role was only very brief and was temporary

2008 – 2009

  • Having progressed further through my apprenticeship the majority of the work carried out was done so as an individual. I gained the ability to perform the majority of tasks with very little help or guidance. My main duty was to perform the installation of bespoke bathroom suits, including the removal of the existing suites. Having mastered a wide variety of the necessary skills needed to complete the works I became more involved in customer / contractor liaisons, call handling and organisation of up and coming jobs

  • My main duties included the installation of central heating systems, bathrooms and cold water systems. In Addition there was a large quantity of reactive work such as leak repairs, broken toilet and cistern repairs and general plumbing maintenance. Within this role I was entrusted with a number of jobs and tasks to undergo both as an individual and as part of a team. This role has given me a wide variety of knowledge and helped to develop my skills in almost every aspect of the plumbing trade. The apprenticeship has further developed my people skills enabling me to communicate effectively with both colleagues and customers and has developed my drive to work as an individual to achieve all goals

Hobbies and interests:

  • Generally being an active individual I attend the gym 4-5 times a week. I also have a keen interest in martial arts as I am a black belt in Taekwondo and a British champion. Having fought all over the world when I was younger I still have a strong interest and attend occasional competitions as a spectator. Socialising with friends and family is one of my favourite things to do when I get the chance
