  • As of leaving school I joined the Royal Navy. This gave me many life skills and qualities that have helped me throughout life. It gave me a balance of qualifications and taught me how to become a hard working and flexible person. I was a dedicated serviceman who was focused on applying eleven years of Military Logistic Management experience to gain employment in the civilian sector. I became an exceptionally hard worker and well-versed in supply and inventory management
  • After leaving the Navy I transitioned to the Real Estate Sector where I became a versatile Estate Agent and Property Manager. This taught me an excellent blend of people skills and an ability to implement and enforce property rules and regulations effectively. I motivated other Real Estate professionals and covered all aspects of Real Estate including managing the development and execution of representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases. This career led me perfectly into the building Industry where I completed the construction of 148 new properties and the refurbishment of over 800. As well as having a focus on customers relations I also use my skills and building knowledge to carry out small building and maintenance work

I joined Mann&Co directly from the Royal Navy. I was given a three month training period which was a successful and then lead me to managing the Bitterne office. After two months managing this office, I was tasked with opening offices in the Portsmouth area.  Due to the success of the Portsmouth openings a further six offices were opened 

Duties and responsibilities included:

  • Communicated effectively with owners, residents and on-site associates
  • Maintained a sufficient number of units so that they were market-ready at all times

Royal Navy Air Traffic Controller

1975 – 1986

  • I joined the Royal Navy as a Junior Seaman. During my “boy” time (16-18 years old) I passed the next two advancement positions and was promoted to Able seaman. In 1980 I sat and passed the Air traffic control Exams. This qualification allowed me to became an Aircraft controller carrying out this duty until I left after my nine year “man” time. During my Naval career I was involved in the start of the Gulf war in 1981 and 1982 as well as being involved in the Falklands Conflict on HMS Glamorgan which suffered severe damage from an Exocet missile
