March 2017 – Present

  • I am employed here as an air conditioning engineer responsible for servicing and fault finding on various types of A/C systems as well as air handling units and chillers
  • My employer are a gas dominated company so with my gas safe and vented and unvented hot water systems qualifications I also spend a lot of my time attending call outs for heating faults on various types of equipment including Ambirad, Nor-Ray-Vac, combat heaters and gas fired water heaters. In addition to the mechanical works, they offer full FM packages where I am also required to complete a variety of multi skilled works and also plumbing duties including replacing broken taps and toilet seats and unblocking toilets, urinals and drains
  • I work in various different environments including small and large distribution centres, offices, retail outlets, schools and colleges

Sodexo HVAC Engineer

March 2016 – March 2017

  • During my time at Sodexo I was employed to work solely on the Carlsberg contract in the UK. I was responsible for maintaining and servicing all the air conditioning in the offices. This included VRV/VRF, ducted units and single split systems. I was also responsible for all the cold rooms and chillers in which they held all of their product
  • Whilst there I was in charge of quoting, designing, installing and commissioning a Hitachi VRV system for Leeds head office. As well as that I was responsible for decommissioning a cold room and then reinstalling and commissioning a new system. This was a high-pressure job that had to be carried out within a strict time frame as they had to ship all products off site whilst the cold room was out of service. It was carried out and completed within the time scale
  • We worked in a small 10-man team including working closely with the gas engineers helping to service and maintain the boilers and heating systems in the offices and the factories
  • In addition, I helped out the other trades carrying out tasks such as re-lamping the warehouses and offices and even helping the builders and joiners as and where needed

Fieldair LTD Multi Skilled Service Engineer

  • I was employed as a multi-skilled Service engineer working for the most part in Lidl stores nationwide. Using my broad range of A/C and Gas safe skills I work in both the air conditioning and the gas sector. I installed and commissioned A/C systems and ventilation installations as well as working on extractors, boilers and Reznor heaters. I also completed pre-planned maintenance as and where appropriate. • I worked for B.M.S as a service and callout engineer. A main part of my role at the company was to attend Alliance Medical centres nationwide to oversee the running and maintenance of their specialist chillers used to serve the MRI equipment. It was imperative to keep the magnets within the machines at the correct temperature. I had to use my competence, initiative and quick thinking when called out to a faulty chiller as it was extremely important for me to get it operating again otherwise it would have an immediate effect on the hospital with them having to postpone appointments and so on
  • During my time there I also serviced and maintained a number of other major contracts including Next head office, Poundland head office and a number of Leicester City Council buildings

Electrum Services Service and Call Out Engineer

2009 – September 2014

  • Here I operated as a service and call out engineer. I worked very independently man managing my own area which included Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield. At the start of every month your jobs would be released to you with the engineers being left to manage their own time and plan their schedule efficiently and effectively. In addition to keeping up to date with the pre-planned maintenance I would have to carry out quoted works and emergency call outs as appropriate. I worked mostly in the retail sector looking after high street shops such as Next, Morrisons, Coral and Poundland

Air temp Installation Engineer

October 2007 – 2009

  • At Air temp I operated mainly as an installation engineer working on large building sites. It was very much a ‘man management’ position with me facilitating the delivery of equipment, logistics, labour, co-ordinating the contract from start to finish. Liaising closely with management and providers to ensure and prompt and precise finish to the contract
  • I installed specialised Denco units for server/comms rooms where the maintenance if a set temperature is imperative. Also, installation of water chilled systems with general plumbing practices employed. Main contracts serviced during my employment included Winvic, LOACH and Howvale
  • All duties as described in previous position for Dan Fab but taking on more of a co-ordinator role bringing into play my man management skills

  • Main contracts I serviced included Bowmer and Kirkland

Fieldair LTD                                                         Welding Apprentice

June 1997 – September 2005

  • I commenced my employment at Fieldair as part of a work apprenticeship scheme sponsored by my school. Here I gained many of my basic skills, learning a huge amount in the time I was here and starting me on the oath to becoming the multi skilled engineer I am today. I successfully completed an apprenticeship in Sheet Fabrication and welding (229), passing the course with a distinction. I specialised in Fabricating, spray booths and acid drip tanks
