Job Purpose:

To oversee the a range of operations across various contracts, predominantly Hard FM but including Energy Performance Contracts, Security, Catering, Cleaning and Helpdesk for the relevant sites and to ensure that the operations are legally and contractually compliant and represent excellence in service delivery.

To manage a cluster of contracts including PFI Healthcare and Education as well as shorter term direct contract arrangements valued in total between £8-10m turnover. To manage at a local level the relationship between the key stakeholders including the SPV General Manager and the key operational client contacts.  To ensure that the site operations are safe.

General Overview:

 

  • Ensure high quality service delivery across the range of services provided by Engie by applying professional expertise and management control.
  • Ensure financial performance is achieved on the contract to meet agreed targets for turnover, profit and cash collection
  • Ensure a sound commercial understanding of the contractual deliverables across the contracts and provide leadership support to the Account Managers
  • Work with the senior management team and Client to develop and agree strategies that meet the service provision demands, in line with the PFI contract and Engie objectives. To review and continuously improve these to meet changing requirements.
  • Promoting/fostering a culture of continuous improvement whereby improvements to service delivery and commercial value are identified and implemented.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with internal and external customers to maximise operational excellence and growth opportunity.
  • Lead and direct the contract team to ensure we operate a performance culture, improvement and retention of IiP and increased employee engagement.
  • Ensure development of direct reports, and wider team, using regular reviews and training.
  • Develop partnership relationships with Trade Unions to ensure high levels of employee engagement, appropriate structures and performance standards are agreed.
  • Ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe environment for all employees, the client and patients.
  • Within the current portfolio are 2 x CHP energy performance contracts (one in Cornwall)

Impact: The post holder will be responsible for successful delivery of a number of  contracts with a turnover of circa 8-10 million.

Complexity:  The post holder is required to demonstrate a high level of analytical problem solving and influential skills and naturally be able to communicate to people working at variable levels within the organisation and client base. Our clients operate 24/7 critical environments so a flexible approach to working hours is essential.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

 

FM experience within public sector organisations ideally with PFI experience.

Good commercial/financial acumen and a proven track record in managing a P&L

Experience of leading high performing and engaged teams and building strong relationships (internal and external)

Proven management experience and the ability to drive organic growth through innovative FM solutions.

A hard FM background is desirable but most important is the ability to drive improvements and the ability to enable teams to deliver an excellent level of customer service.
