The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing facilities maintenance team working across a portfolio of retail and commercial sites.

This mobile role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair work on a wide range of air conditioning and HVAC systems within busy customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial and retail sites
• Service, maintain, and repair split systems, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, FCUs, and associated HVAC equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
• Complete minor installations, replacements, and system upgrades in line with current regulations and specifications
• Identify non-repairable faults and provide recommendations for replacement works
• Order replacement parts and materials in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain accurate service reports and complete compliance paperwork using PDA systems
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety requirements

Requirements

Essential

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, or equivalent
• City & Guilds 2079-1 F-Gas Category 1
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial or retail environments

Desirable

• 18th Edition Qualification
• Experience working with VRV/VRF systems
• Experience using PDA systems
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services
