Chiller Engineer (HVAC / Refrigeration)
Location: Oxfordshire / Milton Keynes / M4 Corridor / North London / Midlands
Salary: Competitive (DOE) + overtime + call-out (negotiable)
Role Overview
We are recruiting either an experienced Chiller Engineer or an ambitious Air Conditioning Engineer looking to progress into working on larger plant, including chillers and data centre applications.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid air conditioning background who is eager to develop their skills further. Full in-house training will be provided, including exposure to major manufacturers and systems.
We are particularly interested in individuals with the right mindset and ambition, and are open to considering potential as much as current technical ability. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career working on advanced HVAC systems and critical environments.
Key Duties
- Service, maintain, and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers (training provided where required)
- Carry out fault-finding on refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Work on air conditioning systems and associated HVAC plant
- Assist with works on larger plant and data centre environments
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Complete service reports and relevant documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients and site teams
Essential Requirements
- Experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or Chiller Engineer
- Good understanding of HVAC systems
- Basic fault-finding ability (electrical and mechanical)
- Willingness to learn and develop into chiller and data centre work
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Exposure to chiller systems
- Interest in working within data centre environments
- Manufacturer training (e.g. Schneider, Vertiv, Trane, Carrier, Daikin)
- Strong work ethic and ambition to progress
