About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join an established Facilities Management and Building Services company.

This is a field-based engineering role covering commercial customer sites across Newcastle and the surrounding area. You’ll be responsible for PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repairs on commercial catering equipment.

With a salary of up to £48,000, company van, private use, fuel card and a 1-in-4 on-call rota, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Catering Engineer looking for a long-term role with a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial catering equipment.

• Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.

• Service, repair and maintain commercial catering equipment.

• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding.

• Diagnose equipment faults and complete repairs safely and effectively.

• Identify remedial works and make recommendations where appropriate.

• Complete service reports and job records accurately.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.

• Deliver a professional and customer-focused service on every visit.

• Participate in the 1-in-4 on-call rota.

About You

• Previous experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer / Catering Engineer.

• Strong experience in commercial catering equipment maintenance and repair.

• Confident carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding.

• Experience with both PPM and reactive maintenance.

• Able to diagnose faults and work independently.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable working across multiple commercial customer sites.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

• Facilities Management or Building Services experience.

• Experience working across sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, education, retail or commercial environments.

• Relevant electrical qualifications or electrical fault-finding experience.

• Experience working with a broad range of commercial catering equipment.
