Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Static site based in Harrogate covering an Army barracks
No call out or weekend working

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team on a static site in Harrogate, covering a large Army barracks. This role offers a stable working environment with a good work-life balance, no call out rota, and no weekend working.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems and associated plant equipment
• Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers, heating systems, and plant room equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and fault finding to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs promptly to minimise disruption across the site
• Complete compliance checks and ensure all work is carried out in line with current gas regulations and health & safety standards
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
• Liaise with site management and internal teams to provide technical support and updates on works completed
• Support general mechanical maintenance duties where required across the barracks site

Requirements

• ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, etc.)
• Experience working on commercial heating systems and plant equipment
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within commercial environments
