Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Mobile Electrician looking for a role with a leading Facilities Management company?

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to cover a portfolio of retail sites across the North West and North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FM Engineer or Multi-Skilled Electrician to join a well-established contract offering stability, autonomy, and long-term career development.

The ideal candidate will be based around Warrington, Northwich, Chester, Liverpool, Wallasey, or the wider M56 corridor to provide efficient coverage across the patch.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of 10 retail sites.

You will work independently, managing your own diary while ensuring all electrical and building services systems remain compliant, operational, and safe.

The role offers a good balance of planned maintenance and reactive work, with structured scheduling across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple retail sites
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns
• Fault find and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Maintain lighting systems, emergency lighting, distribution boards, and power supplies
• Complete minor installation works and electrical remedial projects
• Carry out basic building maintenance tasks including:
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Tap replacements
  • Door closer repairs
  • Point-of-use water heaters
  • General fabric maintenance
• Complete compliance documentation and maintenance records using CAFM systems
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations
• Liaise professionally with site teams and store management

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• AM2 qualification highly desirable
• Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Retail Maintenance, or Commercial Maintenance environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable Experience

• Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience
• Retail maintenance experience
• Experience working within Facilities Management contracts
• Knowledge of emergency lighting and compliance testing

On-Call & Working Hours
