Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a mobile role with a great work-life balance, door-to-door pay, and a varied workload?

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial sites across the North of England. The successful candidate will typically attend one site per day across a five-site portfolio, delivering a mixture of reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer with Facilities Management or Building Services experience who enjoys a varied role combining electrical maintenance, building fabric repairs, and general facilities maintenance.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical and building services systems across a portfolio of commercial properties.

The role is approximately 70% reactive maintenance and 30% planned preventative maintenance, providing a varied working environment with plenty of autonomy.

You will be provided with a company vehicle and benefit from door-to-door pay, ensuring your travel time is fully recognised.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive electrical maintenance across multiple commercial sites

• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with site schedules

• Fault find and repair electrical systems and equipment

• Maintain lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure

• Carry out emergency lighting inspections and testing

• Complete electrical remedial works where required

• Undertake general building fabric maintenance including:

  • Basic plumbing repairs

  • Tap and toilet repairs

  • Door adjustments and door closer repairs

  • Basic carpentry works

  • Minor fabric repairs

• Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation using CAFM systems

• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with statutory requirements

• Build strong relationships with site contacts and clients

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, or Commercial Maintenance

• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills

• Experience carrying out emergency lighting testing and PPMs

• Building fabric maintenance experience

• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• 2391 Testing & Inspection

• IPAF

• PASMA

• Asbestos Awareness

• Water Hygiene / L8 Awareness

• Experience using CAFM systems
