Job Description
To read and understand mechanical and electrical planned maintenance tenders and provide a pricing estimate to suit the tender enquiry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare/analyse costings for tenders and contract documents, including bills of quantities, occasionally with the consultant/architect and/or the client
- Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Assisting the negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
- To develop standard costs to develop and monitor for the use of operational assets and resources.
- To participate in site visits to assess/define customer requirements.
- To ensure that customers contractual requirements, terms and conditions and standards are considered as appropriate in the preparation of estimates and bid packages.
- To constantly develop estimating process to improve estimate response times.
Necessary Skills Essential:
- Work to a high degree of accuracy with good organisational skills
- Have a good knowledge of general building services
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work to strict submission deadlines
- Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office, especially excel skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work
Package
Salary: circa £40,000 (Depending and skills & experience)
