Job Description

To read and understand mechanical and electrical planned maintenance tenders and provide a pricing estimate to suit the tender enquiry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare/analyse costings for tenders and contract documents, including bills of quantities, occasionally with the consultant/architect and/or the client
  • Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Assisting the negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts
  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
  • To develop standard costs to develop and monitor for the use of operational assets and resources.
  • To participate in site visits to assess/define customer requirements.
  • To ensure that customers contractual requirements, terms and conditions and standards are considered as appropriate in the preparation of estimates and bid packages.
  • To constantly develop estimating process to improve estimate response times.

Necessary Skills Essential:

  • Work to a high degree of accuracy with good organisational skills
  • Have a good knowledge of general building services
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work to strict submission deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office, especially excel skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work

Package

Salary: circa £40,000 (Depending and skills & experience)
