Fabric Engineer

Up to £40,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Full Benefits Package

We are recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to join a brand-new engineering team on a major NHS healthcare contract in North London, mobilising in June.

This is a great opportunity to join from day one and be part of building a new team on a secure long-term contract within a live healthcare environment.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 8am–5pm (40-hour week) with participation in a shared 1 in 3 on-call rota across the engineering team.

The Role

• General building fabric PPM and reactive maintenance across the estate
• Carpentry, plumbing repairs, painting and decorating
• Repairs to doors, locks, ceilings, flooring and general building fabric
• Supporting compliance and safe systems of work
• Working alongside M&E engineers and specialist subcontractors
• Completing job sheets, maintenance records and compliance paperwork

Requirements

• Previous Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance experience
• Strong all-round building fabric skills
• Experience within commercial maintenance, FM or healthcare environments preferred
• Understanding of compliance within live environments
• Full UK driving licence preferred
