Install Air Conditioning Engineer

Salary: up to £40,000

Location: Midlands and Surrounding areas

Hours: 40 hrs per week + D2D

Overtime paid at x1.5

Holidays: 24 holiday + 8 bank holidays

Call out: No Call Out

Main Purpose of the Job:

To provide installation to a variety of customer sites. As a mobile engineer, you should be capable of working on all types of HVAC equipment with minimum supervision and have the necessary skills to return to operation any items of plant that the company is obligated to. Assistance would obviously be given wherever necessary although you would always be encouraged to develop your skills and work to your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes but may not be limited to the following tasks:
  • Work as part of the Installations team across the Midlands.
  • Maintain, repair, and commission all types of HVAC systems including minor elements of Plumbing, Pipework, Controls, and Electrical. when needed
  • Complete electronic worksheets & related paperwork detailing hours worked and tasks completed for each day.
  • Observe company & client policies applicable to health, safety, and environment in the workplace.
  • Assess risks involved in each task to ensure work undertaken is to the highest possible safety standards.
  • Help to improve communication and assist in any matters relating to the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications:
  • C&G 2079 (F-Gas) Certificate along with some formal Air Conditioning training.
  • Related electrical knowledge with a formal qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Basic plumbing and pipework knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry with a sound knowledge of various types of commercial Air Conditioning and associated systems. The ability to work self-sufficiently and on one's own initiative with limited supervision is essential.

Accountabilities:
  • Equipment/Facilities: Responsibility extends to the correct maintenance and care for all vehicles, materials, tools, and equipment issued by the company.
  • Finance: Undertake all duties in a cost-effective manner ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum.
Training:

The individual should be willing to undertake any training and personal development as the management deems necessary, such as attending ongoing technical/legislative updates on all related building services topics.
