Static M&E Engineer

Location: Birmingham City Centre
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Shift: 4 on / 4 off, 6am – 6pm
Callout: 1-5 rota (TBC)


About the Role

We are looking for a Static M&E Engineer with strong electrical skills to join a high-profile Birmingham site. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance of electrical systems including:

    • Emergency lighting

    • Fire alarms

    • Building management/control systems

  • Servicing mechanical plant such as AHUs, FCUs, pool plant, and sprinkler systems

  • Diagnosing faults and providing safe, effective solutions

  • Supporting compliance with health & safety standards


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified M&E Engineer with strong electrical knowledge, ideally low voltage systems

  • Hands-on experience with fire alarms, emergency lighting, and building management systems

  • Mechanical system knowledge (AHUs, FCUs, pool plant, sprinklers)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team

  • Flexible for a 1-5 callout rota (TBC)

  • Proactive, safety-conscious, and excellent problem-solving skills
