Electrical Engineer
Location: Ryder Court, London (SW1Y 6QB)
Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 (depending on experience) + Overtime + Package
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Call-Out: None

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to join a busy, high-profile commercial site in Central London. This is a standalone role, ideal for a reliable and professional engineer who is confident taking full ownership of a site.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of building services, working closely with the client and supported by additional engineers who attend the site when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Maintain and operate plant including chillers, cooling towers, and AHUs
  • Take full ownership of site operations as the lead engineer on site
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and statutory compliance
  • Liaise directly with the client, maintaining a professional and high-quality service
  • Manage site documentation, logbooks, and reporting
  • Coordinate visiting engineers and specialist contractors as required

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, etc.)
  • Experience working in a standalone or lead engineer role
  • Professional, reliable, and well-presented
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in a client-facing environment
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload independently
