The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Plumbing & Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established facilities maintenance team covering commercial sites across Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby.

This role offers a varied workload across commerical contracts, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and general building services works across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team with excellent opportunities for progression and development within a growing FM environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing/mechanical maintenance across commercial buildings
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on plumbing, heating, drainage, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain and repair water systems, pumps, pipework, valves, tanks, sanitary ware, and associated mechanical equipment
  • Carry out leak detection, pipe repairs, drainage works, and component replacements
  • Support general building fabric and maintenance tasks where required
  • Interpret drawings, plans, and system layouts to complete installation and repair works
  • Complete maintenance inspections, testing, and servicing in line with company procedures
  • Monitor subcontractors and issue permits to work where required
  • Ensure all compliance paperwork, service records, and PDA documentation are completed accurately
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, including RAMS, COSHH, and safe systems of work
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams

Requirements

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Qualification in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical Systems
  • Experience within Facilities Management or Building Services Maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible and willing to support a wide range of maintenance and building fabric tasks
