Mechanical / HVAC Engineer (Pump Specialist)
£45,000 – £48,000 + Package
London & Home Counties
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical / HVAC Engineer with a strong background in pump systems and inverter controls to join our growing team.
This is a mobile role, working across a wide portfolio of over 160 contract sites, maintaining heating, chilled water, and cold water systems.
The Role
As a key member of a team of 13 engineers, you will be responsible for:
- Maintenance, installation, commissioning, and repair of:
- Heating & chilled water systems
- Cold water systems including booster pumps
- Working on pumps from leading manufacturers including:
- Grundfos, Wilo, Lowara, DAB, and others
- Fault finding and working with inverters (pump controls)
- Carrying out general mechanical maintenance and remedial works across systems
This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical bias and strong electrical understanding, particularly around pump controls and inverters.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working on booster pumps, heating & chilled water pumps
- Strong knowledge of pump maintenance, repair, and replacement
- Experience with commissioning and operating inverters (VSDs)
- Mechanical/HVAC background with electrical awareness
- Full UK driving licence
Package & Benefits
- Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
- Company van provided (Nissan / Citroën)
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (40-hour week)
- On-call rota: 1 in 9
- Standby rate: £150
- Call-out: Minimum 3 hours paid
- Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays
- Pension: 5%
