Mechanical / HVAC Engineer (Pump Specialist)

£45,000 – £48,000 + Package

London & Home Counties 

We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical / HVAC Engineer with a strong background in pump systems and inverter controls to join our growing team.

This is a mobile role, working across a wide portfolio of over 160 contract sites, maintaining heating, chilled water, and cold water systems.


The Role

As a key member of a team of 13 engineers, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance, installation, commissioning, and repair of:
    • Heating & chilled water systems
    • Cold water systems including booster pumps
  • Working on pumps from leading manufacturers including:
    • Grundfos, Wilo, Lowara, DAB, and others
  • Fault finding and working with inverters (pump controls)
  • Carrying out general mechanical maintenance and remedial works across systems

This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical bias and strong electrical understanding, particularly around pump controls and inverters.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working on booster pumps, heating & chilled water pumps
  • Strong knowledge of pump maintenance, repair, and replacement
  • Experience with commissioning and operating inverters (VSDs)
  • Mechanical/HVAC background with electrical awareness
  • Full UK driving licence

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
  • Company van provided (Nissan / Citroën)
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (40-hour week)
  • On-call rota: 1 in 9
    • Standby rate: £150
    • Call-out: Minimum 3 hours paid
  • Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays
  • Pension: 5%
