The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse range of building services systems. Duties will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to reactive maintenance tasks and breakdowns
  • Working across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and building fabric systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with compliance requirements
  • Supporting the wider engineering team to maintain site performance and reliability

About You

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in facilities maintenance who can confidently manage a varied workload.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience within a building services or facilities maintenance environment
  • Strong mechanical maintenance knowledge
  • Good understanding of HVAC systems
  • Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

On-Call Requirement

  • 1 in 2 call-out rota
  • Very rarely called out
  • Additional £2,400 annual allowance paid for participation
