• 3 Weeks: 07:30 – 15:30

• 1 Week: 09:30 – 15:30

• 1 in 4 Call Out Rota

Mechanical Plumber

We're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Plumber to join a facilities maintenance team supporting a large and prestigious university campus.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading facilities management provider, working across a diverse estate of academic buildings, laboratories, student facilities and commercial spaces.

The role offers a varied workload, combining planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of mechanical and plumbing systems.

The Role

As a Mechanical Plumber, you'll be responsible for:

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

• Reactive plumbing and mechanical maintenance

• Maintenance of heating and hot water systems

• Servicing pumps, motors and valves

• Maintaining evaporative cooling systems

• Domestic water system maintenance in line with L8 requirements

• Fault finding, repairs and remedial works

• Ensuring plant and equipment remain safe and operational

• Completing maintenance reports and compliance documentation

• Delivering excellent customer service across the campus

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)

• Experience within Facilities Management or Building Services Maintenance

• Knowledge of pumps, motors and valve maintenance

• Experience working with cooling towers and water systems

• Understanding of L8 and water hygiene requirements

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
