Painter & Decorator - Shopping Centre, PO1

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a team of six, working across a well-maintained site with a structured painting programme in place on behalf of the UK's biggest FM provider.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £34,000 per annum
• Call-out rota: 1 in 6 (minimal requirement – only 4 call-outs last year)

Role Overview

This role involves carrying out planned painting and decorating works across both internal and external areas of the site. Approximately 50% of the work will be outdoors, so the role can be physically demanding and requires someone comfortable working in varying conditions.

In addition to core decorating duties, you will also assist with general fabric maintenance tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver painting and decorating works in line with the site programme
• Prepare surfaces and apply finishes to a high standard
• Carry out both internal and external decorating
• Support with general fabric maintenance when needed
• Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and well maintained

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification preferred (time-served candidates also considered)
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Team player with a flexible approach
