A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading facilities management company for a Security Centre Manager to work in a busy shopping centre in Tamworth.
This will initially be on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract with a view to potentially go permanent.
The idea candidate will have previous experience managing diverse security teams and those with experience within retail or shopping centres would be a huge advantage.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors while implementing best practices in loss prevention and surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the centre’s operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
- Monitor CCTV systems and ensure effective surveillance measures are in place to maintain security.
- Conduct regular assessments of centre activities to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
- Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to ensure loss prevention strategies are effectively executed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and implement first aid procedures when required.
- Engage with customers to address concerns and enhance their overall experience at the centre.
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff and customers alike.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage conflicts, and drive performance improvements.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
