We are recruiting for a maintenance plumber to work mobile on a government contract. This is a temp to perm full time role working 40 hours per week. They specialise in providing mechanical and electrical building services, building fabrics repair and soft services to multiple sectors inclusive of commercial offices, education, critical environments, retail sites, shopping centres, local authorities, distribution and logistics, manufactures.

The maintenance plumber role is mobile carrying out service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out reactive calls and planned maintenance
  • Collection and fitting of new parts
  • Updating service records and timekeeping information in an accurate and timely way
  • Updating client reporting systems in an accurate and timely way
  • Working safely in line with health and safety procedures

Knowledge & Experience

  • Wider building services knowledge would be an advantage
  • Ability to maintain/ repair a range of mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors to recognised standards
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work at heights and work in confined spaces etc.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer focused
  • Self-motivated
  • PC literate
  • High degree of mobility to travel throughout the area

Qualifications / Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
  • Experience of previously working for an FM company doing planned and reactive maintenace (desirable)
  • Hold a full UK drivers' licence

Maintenance Plumber Package

  • Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (depending on skills and experience)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Holidays: 33 days per year inclusive of Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme
