We are looking to recruit a Containment Working Supervisor to be based at our client site in Weybridge in Surrey. You will take ownership and accountability of Weybridge Containment Buildings system ensuring you are familiar with it and any operational issues associated with its operation and escalating as appropriate, while driving for industry best practice in service delivery. We are looking for someone who would be comfortable managing up to 18 Engineers on our laboratory site. Previous containment experience is highly desirable.

Act as technical point of contact for the Containment Buildings onsite
Liaising with, the key stakeholders of the team to ensure you are aware of any Containment Building issues and to also ensure everyone within the team is fully briefed on any planned or ongoing Containment Building work.
Respond to Building Management System alarms on the equipment or Buildings in your charge
Maintain open communication with the client to ensure they are aware of the current state of the site Containment Buildings.
Be Able to react in an ever changing business environment.
While carrying out their duties, the Containment Supervisor should comply with all Interserve and APHA SOPs
Ensure the issue and appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems in accordance with Safe Systems of work and IFM HS&E policies and procedures.
Ensure that suitable and sufficient spares are available to carry out maintenance of the Containment Buildings.
Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of “Maximo” task sheets and in line with IFM quality system.
Brief the management team when an incident or defect could or will interrupt the site science programme
Lead any incident investigation in line with IFM incident response protocol and own remedial actions to closure for your system.
Ensure you follow the Change Management Process
Complete all actions in line with the QSHE planner
Support the Client Awareness Visits (CAV) ensuring the compliance folders for your portfolio are up to date and populated as per the annual planner.
Take line management responsibility for your team and follow HR processes including induction and probation frame work and completion and checking of time sheets.
Attend and contribute to client meetings
Deliver the correct standard of staff appraisals in line with appraisal process
Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
Ensure a professional image of is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
• Embrace and lead a working ethos in line with IFM vision, values and site principals
Hold a procurement card and follow the correct process.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a security check
Be part of the out of hours On-Call engineering rota
What we are looking for
Must hold a "time served apprenticeship" in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience of managing a large team of engineers
Able to work under pressure
Previous experience of working in a hospital/ laboratory
Must have a demonstrable background in a Maintenance environment
Knowledge on how to service/test of systems of highly specialised equipment
Strong and effective communication skills
UPS backup systems
It would be advantageous to have a background within the Containment or Health Sector. Have an understanding of health and safety and previously held Appointed Person position
