Our client has been in business for over 50 years, and they are now looking to recruit an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Engineer to work out of their Cambridge branch.
Purpose of Role
To visit customer sites to service and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to high quality standards in order to deliver excellent customer service.
Working in the field attending call outs to commercial, industrial and occasional domestic clients.
Diagnosing, fault finding and problem solving on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in commercial, industrial and occasionally domestic sites.
Regular maintenance of customer equipment as per maintenance agreements.
Regular liaison with branch on jobs, ordering of parts and diagnosis in order to ensure the best service is delivered.
Accurate completion and timely submittal of service sheets, timesheets and other documentation as required.
Careful management of van stock levels in compliance with company policy.
Accurate, timely communication with client, manager and other stakeholders as required in relation to specific jobs.
To ensure that the Company Van, tools and equipment are looked after and maintained.
To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
To perform any other reasonable duties commensurate with these responsibilities, the band of the post and skill and qualifications of the post-holder.
The ideal candidate will have:
A solid working knowledge and significant experience working as a mobile service engineer within the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
Refrigerant Handling - City &Guilds 2079 or equivalent.
Hydrocarbon Safe Handling - City & Guilds 6187-21 or equivalent is desirable.
Vocational qualification up to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Excellent organisation, communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
An excellent understanding of and ability to deliver outstanding customer service skills, able to translate technical jargon into understandable language for the client.
Good, demonstrable knowledge of commercial, industrial and domestic refrigeration and air conditioning engineering.
An excellent knowledge base and the desire to help and advise other service engineers and provide mentoring and coaching to more junior engineers when requested, to aid in the development of their knowledge and skills.
A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Up to £18 per hour dependant on skills and experience

40 hour working week - standard hours 8am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
