Our client is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. They are recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor to join their team covering Norfolk and Suffolk on a prestigious contract. The successful candidate will have to provide efficient and effective cleaning supervision to several client sites within the region allocated to you by the Area Cleaning Manager.
Key Requirements and Accountabilities of the Job Role
To manage the cleaners at each client site that has been allocated to you.
To manage the Mobile Cleaners and ensure they are working as agreed to cover holidays/absence and to carry out periodic cleans.
To ensure that all work carried out is to the agreed specification and that safe working practices are always observed.
To order cleaning consumables for each site with adequate control measures in place to prevent overstocking of items and to deliver all cleaning consumables to site where necessary.
A company vehicle is provided to enable the supervisor to undertake full duties, all relevant company policies are to be complied with.
To recruit and interview staff prior to employment. Following the vetting process and new starters process.
To carry out inductions and training with all new staff prior to starting work and ensure the induction certificates are completed on the onsite Health and Safety logbook.
To conduct Cleaning and Health and Safety Audits of all stations every month or in relation to the audit planner. Rectifying any failed audits (-80%) within 7 working days.
To ensure the efficient use of staff for holiday or sickness cover. It is the responsibility of the Area Supervisor to arrange cover for holidays/absence. Holiday can only be authorised if the site has is to be covered by another member of staff or the mobile cleaner. The employees full working hours onsite must be covered
To participate in the standby and callout rota. It is your responsibility to know when you are on call out and to ensure you are available
Visiting client sites on a regular basis to check that the cleaning is being carried out to the correct standard.
Carry out toolbox talks and health and safety briefings with the cleaning staff and ensure these are signed off in the Health and Safety Logbooks held onsite.
Ensure staffs have up to date cleaning schedules and are being followed as per the contract.
All holiday must be covered by a mobile cleaner or alternative member of staff or it will not be authorised.
To ensure all staff complete a Self Certificate of Absence if off sick and for the Area Supervisor to complete a Return to Work form.
Managing overtime required by staff and seeking approval
Ensure all staff are booked in correctly to site and adhere to company procedures.
Ensure only authorised cleaning materials are used on site.
Carry out COSHH training when required.
Carry out quality control inspections at each client site.
Ensure all hazards are logged via the Hazard Reporting Forms and that the site contact has been notified.
To report on and complete the relevant Accident/Incident Forms.
To ensure all staff observe and comply to company procedures.
To maintain pleasant, professional, and exceptional customer relations.
To ensure all relevant paperwork/documentation as mentioned above is submitted monthly.
Any other Ad-Hoc duties that may apply to your position as the Area Supervisor. You may be required to attend sites outside of your remit to assist with other operational tasks of the contract.
You may be required to cover cleaning duties as part of your role.
£10.24 per hour
37.5 hours per week
33 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays
