  • I work at the XXXX for a Facilities Company. My duties are to provide technical assistance, Technical support and monitor the building management system(s). I carried out fire alarm tests, LOLER inspections on the two MEWP’s, monitor the H.V. system/ switch gear, Generator checks, UPS system checks, general power, check the HVAC/ CRAC system(s) via the B.M.S. and monitor the building temperature. Part of the daily duties is to attending meetings with various heads of departments; one meeting is with representatives from the Client and the other meeting is with representatives from the facilities management group. I also issue permits for the various tasks that sub-contractors would be carrying out onsite, check sub-contractors work once completed and sign off permits. Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements provided by the sub-contractors prior to any works taking place and review these planned works during the Daily meetings both with the client and with the facilities management meetings respectfully

  • I worked for a facilities company based at Eli Lilly, Speke Operations site in Liverpool. My duties involved coordinate and facilitate works of the supplier/ contractors to carry out a range of activities requested via a Maximo work order system. Permit issuing and safety walk-downs / inspections; review of work in progress; manage priorities, completion times, emergencies and deadlines to ensure the execution of maintenance activities were in accordance with site policies and procedures including health, safety and environmental (HS&E) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The management of small projects from quotation to completion; continually review cost effectiveness of contract labour and ensure all activities are carried out. Working with onsite engineering team to manage the compliance issues within the following areas Legionella, LOLER, effluent monitoring, F-Gas (ACU, AHU, fridges/ freezers) LEV, High voltage testing and LV fixed wire testing (this is not an exhaustive list). Attend meetings between Sodexo and the Client representatives for service contracts. i.e. Legionella, UPS Steering Group, fixed wire testing, Effluent sampling and F-Gas. I would also be required to chair some of these meetings between Sodexo and the Client representatives. I have been trained in the use of air feed hood and positive pressure face fitted masks. I can assess and train operatives in the use of various masks, 3M 8845, 3M 9332 + and 3M 4598; also the tornado hood. I would also carry out service contractor/ contractor client security site inductions when required
