Employment History:

March 2017 – Present

  • I am just coming to the end of a contract that my current employer has, I have decided to leave when this ends as the work that I have been offered afterwards will no longer be local to me, meaning many overnight stays in hotels which I am not too keen on. I have been working on CHP units for about 18 months, I had 3 months on site training before attending an advanced course in Finland. My main role was to maintain 10 CHP units on the same site, although I did travel to other sites now and again. I carried out everything From Commissioning, servicing, fault finding and rebuilding along with the general day to day running of the machines. I have really enjoyed the challenge and have learned a lot over the last 18 months but I now feel ready to move back into the Gas industry

  • Working mostly for National Grid as a subcontractor testing/moving meters/running pipework and extending/testing earth bonding after the gas mains had been upgraded. I also worked as a self employed contractor for British Gas during some of this time carrying out Servicing and breakdowns I ended up doing 3 days a week for them and 2 days at National Grid before an opportunity came up to work in the Renewables Industry

  • This was my fathers business, he worked at British Gas for over 30 years. I did my apprenticeship here whilst attending Dudley College one day a week.
