  • Contract responsibility is for the M&E, Fabric and Grounds maintenance across the estate for 35 Police stations including the new Police HQ at Durham. I operate this via a team of 5 multi skilled engineers including a working supervisor for whom I am direct line manager for; I do this in conjunction with the office admin support staff to control reactive jobs, General PPM and Stat PPM. I also carry out General office duties including responsibility for helping to manage P&L and WIP on the Contract and compile monthly reports to the client for our regular contract reviews. I Review the PPM / asset lists for new sites and closing sites to ensure the PPM Planners are current and up to date. I control the specialist Sub contractors employed by Graham FM encompassing Fire and Security, Air conditioning, Grounds maintenance, Lift, Fabric repair and Electrical contractors. I ensure that all works and extra works are priced, managed and carried out in accordance with all Health and safety procedures and are invoiced to the client in a timely manner. I manage the minor works and small project element of the contract also from small minor works from £1,000 up to larger projects valued around £100,000
  • I am the daily first point of contact for the clients estate team for general day to day issues and escalations
  • I also recently managed our Durham county Council Water Hygiene contract (for approx. 547 sites) with line manager responsibility for 5 mobile water hygiene technicians and 1 supervisor and help to manage our help desk function. I was the local contact for day to day issues for the client. This was for a 12 month duration whilst the company sourced a new manager for our water hygiene division
  • I have now taken on board the operational hard services PPM and reactive works for another few sites in the midlands area overseeing the day to day maintenance of office accommodation for our client. I oversee our specialist sub contractors on this contract and manage / price the minor works, reactive works that are produced on the contracts. I am assisted by our helpdesk team in Belfast for the co-ordination of works these sites
  • I also take part in helping to win new contracts by assisting our new bids team with site visits and bid interviews with potential new clients. When we win new contracts I help to mobilise them when required and also take part in the asset verification on gaining new contracts to ensure that the items we are taking over are in good order
