We are recruiting for an EV Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects in the Charging Solutions business.  This role is based out of the Wellingborough Office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of HSE&Q are maintained during delivery of multisite programmes of works.

  • The leadership, management and oversight of all areas of the project, delivering successful project outcomes in all areas, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.

  • Communicating effectively and professionally with everyone associated with the project and the wider community.

  • Providing operational, strategic and contractual direction for the whole project team.

  • Setting a personal example in health safety and environmental matters through strong, visible leadership (including safety tours). Acting as a champion for all company and sub-contractor employees. Actively supporting HSQE initiatives, both on the project and across the business.

  • Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour.

  • Driving quality delivery through effective planning and right first-time delivery.

  • Providing pre-sales support to tender submissions including program information, risk registers and written delivery methodologies.

  • Leading and managing the project team, ensuring high levels of commitment, morale and motivation at all levels.

  • Adopting, maintaining and promoting cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources.

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the client, their project management and supervisory team and the supply chain.

  • Promote repeat business by maintaining personal contact with key clients and stakeholders, and by demonstrating high levels of commitment to their requirements.

  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring an effective, programme-based cost management system, to facilitate financial control with reliable QF preparation and reporting.

  • Ensuring realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the requirements of the project and contract.

  • Ensuring processes are in place for the preparation, review and briefing of method statements, activity plans and risk assessments and measures implemented to ensure they are reviewed and updated accordingly.

  • Ensuring systems are in place for the successful commercial and financial performance of the project.

  • Using appropriate and effective communication methods such as recorded internal weekly progress meetings to communicate with the whole project team.

  • Keeping line management appraised of potential risks and opportunities associated with the project and the potential for future work opportunities.

  • Maintaining close working relationship with company departments to maximise support for the project and for opportunities to share knowledge.


Who are we looking for?

  • Experienced in Solution Architecture in the relevant industry (EV, BESS, PV, Software, Electronics)

  • Drive to learn and understand new technical solutions

  • Technical pre-sales experience 

  • Experience with cloud solutions and related practices

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.

  • Responsibility for the implementation of Health and Safety, quality, environmental system requirements ensuring compliance with all legislation and company policy and procedures

  • Management and development of the team to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives to achieve financial target requirements

  • Create and maintain effective individual and team working relationships with the Charging Solutions team, the client and their representatives

  • Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements to ensure they are being met

  • Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.

  • Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent

  • CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Manager

  • Successful experience and performance at Senior Agent level or equivalent

  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management capabilities to be able to deal with a significant level of complexity due to characteristics requiring an increased level of attention for financial management and governance arrangement during project execution, as well as strong attention for executive stakeholder management.

  • Detailed working knowledge of the construction environment and form of contract used upon the project for which the individual is responsible.

  • Specialist technical or managerial knowledge for delivery of multi-site transient working practices.

  • Project Management Qualifications APM PPQ.

  • Qualified to Chartered Engineer level (MICE or equivalent).

  • Revelant experience in the construction industry.

  • SMSTS.
