About the role:
The post-holder will be responsible for providing a range of topographical survey activities to the survey team and the delivery of site based topographical and/or underground utility surveys. The role will involve all field-based data gathering and office-based processing to produce high quality/ accurate survey. Periods of work away from home and lone working will be required.

Key responsibilities:
Working with both Land and Utility Surveyors to deliver detailed survey deliverables and reports to meet client requirements
Working in AutoCAD / similar producing 2D and 3D models and composite drawings
Use of Trimble survey instruments
Measured building surveys
Topographical surveys
Underground utility surveys and asset surveys
Use of Trimble Business Centre and either SCC or N4CE survey packages
Client liaison and customer management
Production of Health & Safety and Environmental relevant paperwork and protocols for site-based activity
Nationwide UK coverage
Emergency survey works for critical infrastructure projects
Support the Head of Survey on designated tasks.
Applicant Specification:
Experience with current total station, GPS and GPR instrumentation
Experience of delivering a survey from field to office and processing the work on the AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D
Good knowledge and understanding of survey standards such as RICS, TSA and PAS128
Experience in similar role
Use of electro-detection and GPR equipment for tracing utilities
Working knowledge of Trimble survey equipment and Trimble business centre software
Qualifications & Skills:
Good computer skills
Good geographical knowledge of the UK
Minimum site operative CSCS, preferred Gold card CSCS
Minimum Operative Level NRSWA
Qualification in Land Surveying
Emergency First Aid at Work
Manual Handling
