Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: Birmingham & wider East/West Midlands region
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (top end for highly experienced candidates)
Hours: Mon-Fri 40h a week (flexibility required)


The Role
We are looking for experienced Air Conditioning Engineers to join our expanding team. This is a mobile service and maintenance role with responsibility for delivering high-quality PPM, reactive maintenance, and occasional small works across a variety of sites.
You’ll be part of a supportive regional team, with escalation structures in place, and opportunities for training and progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance, and reactive repairs of air conditioning systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on multiple sites
  • Immediate call-out support when required (low call-out volumes)
  • Occasional installation or small works as needed
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service on-site
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety policies and procedures

Callout & Travel
  • Callout rota: 1 in 5 (moving towards 1 in 10 when fully staffed)
  • On-call allowance: £150 per week
  • 1st-line helpdesk screens call-outs before escalation
  • Escalation manager support always available
  • Travel: ~30 minutes each way (door-to-door on-call travel)

Requirements
  • Qualifications: F-Gas Category 1, NVQ (or equivalent) in relevant trade

What We Offer
  • Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (depending on experience)
  • Holidays: 30 days starting allowance, 35 days after 5 years, 40 days after 10 years
  • Overtime Rates: 1.5x before 6am and after 6pm
