Job Title: Mobile Electrician
Location: West & East Midlands (travel required across multiple client sites)
Salary: £37,000 – £40,000 per year (£17.79 – £19.23 per hour)

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Electrician to join a well-established building services team, supporting a range of commercial and domestic properties across the Midlands and occasionally further afield.
You’ll carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and reactive repair work — ensuring all systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with BS 7671 regulations.
This is a mobile role, ideal for a qualified electrician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and delivering high standards of work.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installations within commercial and domestic properties.

Perform planned and reactive maintenance, including 1-phase and 3-phase systems.

Complete EICR testing and certification in line with current standards.

Conduct fault finding and repairs efficiently and professionally.

Carry out energy-saving LED lighting upgrades and small installation works.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current electrical codes and practices.

Maintain accurate job records, reports, and certificates.

Work closely with clients and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (1 in 6–8 weeks).

Adhere to company and site health & safety procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.

Experience across both commercial and domestic environments.

Strong knowledge of BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations.

Skilled in EICR inspection and testing.

Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.

Flexible and willing to travel across multiple sites (West & East Midlands).

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Full, clean UK driving licence.
Qualifications

City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018).

City & Guilds 2391 (or 2391-52) – Testing & Inspection (previously 2394/2395).
