Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to be part of the Engineering Support team working with the Scottish Police Authority to deliver Hard FM services throughout Scotland.

Reporting to the Regional Manager/Supervisor, you will be responsible for the delivery of the contract within their allocated sites and in accordance with the contractual SLA’s, Atalian Servest business policies and processes.

The candidate will support the Regional Supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

To carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the building fabric (including doors, door frames, windows and locks).

To undertake general joinery duties, fabric repairs, minor plumbing and decorating tasks.

To undertake maintenance duties as required to making sure all reports are accurately completed within specific timescales.

To provide a flexible approach to working practices within the maintenance team which could involve undertaking tasks associated with building maintenance.

Ensure contractual services are delivered in such a way that it is possible to achieve agreed SLA’s and quality targets.

To produce accurate documentation as required and to keep up-to-date records of statutory inspections e.g. L8 documentation, etc.

Undertake minor quoted works from initial outset, through installation to completion as required whilst completing all required test certification.

To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.

To provide emergency callout response for the client as required and work as part of a call out Rota.

To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.

To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way that ensures customer satisfaction.

To take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.

To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs always.

Working in a safe manner always, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Atalian Servest H&S policy.

Developing the service offering in line with customer requirements, delivering continuous improvement activities, responding to customer concerns and implementing corrective action when required.

About You:

Technically qualified

C&G Award in Basic Construction Skills (carpentry options) / CSkills Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry / Carpentry & Joinery NVQ level 2 OR C&G Equivalent

Clean Full UK Driving Licence

IOSH Working Safely qualification

Experience working within Facilities Management

Strong understanding of Building Services Infrastructure

Strong background in Technical Facilities Management

Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation

Customer liaison skills and excellent communications skills with all levels of the workforce

COSHH Awareness

Full disclosure is a contractual requirement

Vetting standard: NPPV Level 2 is required to operate within police premises
