This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Maintenance and Construction business, with over 100 years of experience and in excess of £100m annual turnover. You will work as part of a small, multi-tasking team, and your role as People Advisor will see you focus on Employee Relations (ER) including disciplinary and grievance, TUPE and performance management.
Ideally you will be an experienced People Advisor with Employee Relations experience and hold a CIPD qualification, but so long as you have experience in the disciplinary side of HR the client is really open minded with regards to providing CIPD training and coaching and mentoring you through the technical elements of HR.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work as a team of three, to provide support, advice and guidance to management across this multi-site UK business
- Provide support to line managers regarding ER cases, including advising and coaching
- Use your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong, effective and collaborative relationships with managers, including developing managers competency and capability in people management
- Support with organisational change and restructures to include redundancy
- Manage TUPE processes
- Provide advice on Employment Law, working arrangements, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation
- Undertake a range of duties, from leading HR projects to providing HR Admin.
Candidate Profile
- Experience of a complex, commercial organisation
- Experience to include various aspects of HR Management such as ER, change management and resourcing
- Up to date knowledge of practical HR principles and employment legislation
- Willing to travel throughout the UK – if you have a clean driving license and own car you will receive £7000 car allowance
- Ability to travel semi-regularly for meetings around the UK including occasional overnight stay
- Experience of a unionised environment.
Benefits Summary;
Salary of £32,000 - £36,000 plus a car allowance of £7000 for car owners. Free car parking on site.
