Our client is a leading globally renowned supermarket chain and are looking for experienced refrigeration engineers to join an existing team of engineers across the LA are.
The successful candidate will have thorough understanding of refrigeration systems specifically those within a commercial / retail setting.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and will be tasked to perform repairs and preventative maintenance across several stores.
Job Duties:
· Ensures compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines by overseeing the completion of work according to practices and procedures outlined by OHSA, EPA, and in Walmart HVAC/R safety policies and environmental guidelines. Reclaims ozone-depleting refrigerants.
· Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local HVAC/R industry regulations and guidelines (for example, building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements) by conducting inspections and making repairs.
· Maintains quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of new HVAC/R equipment and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
· Ensures available resources for HVAC/R maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory.
· Ensures working orders of HVAC/R, EMS, and direct digital control equipment by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
· Performs major and minor preventive maintenance.
· Provides feedback about troubleshooting best practices.
· Provides training (for example, safety, control troubleshooting, oil system operation and adjustment) by traveling to company facilities for onsite sessions.
· Performs on-site HVAC/R repairs for hands-on learning.
· Evaluates technician skill sets and reporting back to senior leadership.
· Provides and supports the implementation of Facilities Management - HVAC/R business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Identifies business needs.
Qualifications / Experience
· Vocational or Technical HVAC/R Certification
· 5 years’ experience in commercial maintenance ideally in a Retail setting
· EPA Type I & II
