Job Purpose

  • To support the Account Director to profitably grow the account by; providing expert commercial, financial and operational leadership. To work closely with our prestigious client building and maintaining excellent relationship at stakeholder level.

Responsibilities

Customer

  • Deliver an excellent customer experience through a relationship built on an understanding of the customer’s organisation, its objectives and values
  • Maximise and act upon customer insight to respond to any identified service issues and to drive continuous improvement and the strategic development of the account. Resulting in the retention and growth of the account
  • Ensure all colleagues understand the customer proposition, maintain a positive brand perception and facilitate an environment to work in partnership with the customer and service users

People

  • Create a high performing team aligned to company culture and values. Achieving success through inspiring, engaging and effective communication. Effectively performance manage, clearly defining, assigning and reviewing outcomes and objectives
  • Nurture talent, establishing succession and retention plans and manage people development by providing training, support and guidance

Financial and Commercial

  • Support the Account Director to drive the financial performance of the account to maximise profit and cash performance
  • Support the Account Director deliver the account commercial contract, identifying and accounting for risks and liabilities and complying with commercial governance
  • Support the Account Director to manage the financial performance of the account challenging performance, reviewing costs, approving financial submissions and initiating profit improvement plans to achieve or exceed expectations
  • Support the; budget, forecast, income recovery, cost recognition, cash collection and deliver the P&L

Operations

  • Ensure adherence to all contractual standards, specifications and legislation, monitoring operational performance and avoiding KPI deduction through data utilisation
  • Ensure that processes, tools, equipment, resources and all necessary training and supervision are in place to deliver the services under the contract

Strategy and Business Development

  • Support the Account Director create, deliver and review an annual business plan for the account while developing the customer offer through collaboration with colleagues
  • Actively seek organic growth opportunities
  • Provide high quality and accurate reporting, and, clear and professional communications in accordance with brand guidelines and comply with company security requirements
  • Embrace and drive change, initiatives and actively adopt and establish policies, systems and processes.

What we are looking for

Person Specification

  • A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of facilities management and outsourced services relevant to the requirements of the role, or transferable knowledge and experience from a related relevant sector
  • Healthcare experience preferable
  • Relevant professional or technical qualification or competence
  • Management and leadership experience at a similar level in a large, complex, multi-stakeholder organisation
  • Experienced in leading and motivating high performance teams
  • Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining a customer focused culture
  • Proven track record of successful financial and commercial management
  • Able to understand contract obligations and corporate governance in detail, conveying the appropriate aspects to team members
  • Able to recognise the development needs of self and others and utilise this to achieve the best outcome

Skills

  • Exceptional all-round communication and presentation skills
  • An appropriate level of intellect, including reasoning and critical thinking skills necessary for the successful delivery of the role
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate to the benefit of all parties
  • Skilled at building, motivating and leading team performance to achieve desired outcomes
  • IT literate and proficient with Microsoft Office or similar applications
  • Strong commercial acumen at operational level with the ability to create and deliver successful financial plans
  • Ability to handle and prioritise challenging workloads and delegate effectively
  • Excellent stakeholder management
