Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Home-based with national travel (ideally within 2 hours of Leeds)
Salary: £50,000 + Toyota company vehicle (van or estate) + travel & stay-away allowance (£35/night)
We’re seeking a driven Project Manager to take ownership of two high-profile contracts, delivering major decarbonisation projects across the UK. This is a chance to play a central role in the shift away from gas towards sustainable, air-source-led building services.
The Role
You’ll be overseeing 7–8 projects per year, typically valued at £450k each, delivering one at a time with occasional overlaps. Work will span flagship retail estates and transport infrastructure, covering mechanical refurbishments and the installation of cutting-edge low-carbon technology.
Projects include:
  • Mechanical decarbonisation of large commercial sites, moving away from gas to air source.
  • Installation of Daikin air source systems (300kW) and Broag water boilers where required.
  • Chilled water pipework replacement (64mm – 108mm carbon steel).
  • Boiler swaps to air source at transport depots, primarily in North London.
  • Exposure to pioneering new electric radiant tube heaters through a sister company partnership.
You’ll manage a mix of direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to exacting quality standards. Travel to sites across the UK will be required (typically 1–2 visits per week depending on project stage).

About You
We’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager with experience delivering mechanical building services or M&E refurb projects. You’ll need strong site presence, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Key skills & experience:
  • Proven track record of managing mechanical / M&E projects £300k+ in value.
  • Experience with heating, chilled water, or decarbonisation-led projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ideally located with good motorway links and within 2 hours of Leeds.
