Senior Life Cycle Manager – Facilities & Asset Management

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Technical Life Cycle Manager to lead the delivery of life cycle and asset management activities across a portfolio of complex facilities.
This is a key role for a technically strong, commercially aware individual who can ensure assets are managed efficiently, sustainably and in full compliance with contractual requirements. You’ll oversee the strategic planning, delivery and reporting of life cycle programmes, supporting data-driven decisions and helping to shape a long-term asset strategy.
You’ll work closely with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain high standards of performance and ensure the life cycle fund delivers best value.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage life cycle planning, delivery and reporting across multiple sites.

Audit and review asset data, maintenance records and PPM plans for compliance and accuracy.

Oversee five-year and annual life cycle budgets, ensuring robust financial control and transparency.

Develop and maintain benchmarking tools, dashboards and reports to support continuous improvement.

Provide technical and financial input to asset replacement strategies and contract variations.

Integrate sustainability and net-zero technologies into life cycle decision-making.

Support operational and commercial teams through training, collaboration and process improvement.
About You

Degree-qualified in an engineering or technical discipline.

Chartered or professionally registered (or working towards this within 12 months).

Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering, technical or life cycle management roles – ideally within PFI, healthcare, education, or complex FM environments.

Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, asset management and compliance.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
