Senior Project Manager

Up To £65,000 + Vehicle or Allowance!

Established in 2011, our company is a leading provider of commercial and industrial flue and chimney systems in the UK and Irish Markets.

With a global presence in the flues and chimney markets, we are currently expanding our UK business to meet the growing demands for our products and services.

This expansion includes investments in new production facilities, offices, and personnel.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background in mechanical engineering or construction-related fields.

The successful candidate will oversee the design, manufacture, delivery, installation, and commissioning of commercial and industrial flue and chimney systems.

This pivotal role requires a balance of technical expertise, effective project management, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans.
    • Ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
    • Monitor and manage project progress to identify and mitigate potential delays or issues.
    • Prepare and manage key contracts.
    • Engage and manage consultants and sub-contractors as required.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  2. Technical Expertise:

    • Apply technical knowledge to assess project requirements and review contractor designs.
    • Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions as necessary.
  3. HSQE Assurance:

    • Establish and enforce HSQE control processes to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify work HSQE compliance.
  4. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Liaise closely with developers, operations, commercial, technical, and finance staff.
    • Maintain clear and proactive communication with external stakeholders.
    • Develop relationships in the industry with key suppliers and contractors.
    • Undertake regular site meetings.
    • Address and resolve any project-related issues or concerns promptly.
    • Manage third party interfaces.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Ideal), Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management, ideally in the construction and commissioning of mechanical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the related field.
  • A good understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation. A formal qualification like IOSH would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Able to travel to work sites/meetings.
  • A full clean UK driver's license and passport.

Salary and Package:

  • Annual salary commensurate with experience.
  • 25 days holidays + stats.
