Job Title: Shift Technician/Electrical Engineer
Salary: £41,224 (including shift allowance and on-call rates)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 (early shift) & 14:00 - 22:00 (late shift)
On-Call/Overtime: On-call rota 1 week in 5 with additional payment for callouts
Role Overview:
Join a dynamic team at a cutting-edge aerospace, defence, and security site, working alongside skilled engineers in a collaborative environment. As a Shift Technician/Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault finding, and assisting with building fabric works. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the site’s high operational standards and improving plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete PPM and reactive tasks to high standards
- Fault finding on building services plant and electrical systems
- Assist with minor new works and system refurbishments
- Coordinate sub-contractor activities
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
- Manage work orders through CAFM system
- Assist with project-based activities when required
- Apprentice-trained maintenance electrician
- City and Guilds qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations
- GCSE and A-Level education (desirable)
- Experience in Facilities Management with a focus on PPM and reactive maintenance
- Strong fault-finding skills and understanding of electrical systems and building services
- Site-based role, so proximity to the aerospace, defence, and security site is ideal
- No driving license required
