Location: Office-based in Wakefield, with regular travel to sites
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Car
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Small Works Manager – Fit-Out & Refurb Projects | Wakefield-Based with Site Travel

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Small Works Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Based in our Wakefield office, with regular travel to site, this role is perfect for someone confident in managing projects from initial scoping through to handover.

You'll be working on projects up to £200k in value, covering well-known brands and environments such as Wagamama’s, Airports, Train Stations, Care Homes, Bella Italia, and Costa Coffee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage small works projects from initial scoping, pricing, and quoting through to completion
  • Coordinate with the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of materials and labour
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Liaise with internal departments including HVAC and Electrical teams to ensure efficient delivery
  • Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and client satisfaction

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience managing small commercial works or fit-out projects (up to £200k)
  • Strong background in project scoping, pricing, and supply chain coordination
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A team player who can also work independently when required
