We are delighted to be partnering with one of the fastest growing SME’s in FM right now who are actively seeking to appoint an Energy Manager who will play an integral part in the business supporting its clients in ensuring their clients assets are being monitored and maintained effectively therefore working towards their sustainability goals.

This is a truly unique opportunity to work closely with many of the Senior Management Team. This role would suit a highly ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career and build a successful team around them.


Role Overview;
You will be proficient in building controls systems to make recommendations and help minimise energy consumption. You will also be expected to support the Engineering Maintenance functions to ensure that the client assets entrusted are maintained and operated as effectively and as efficiently as possible to ensure that their sustainability goals can be achieved. The Energy Manager will be responsible for analytics and interventions to translate sustainability goals into a clear set of actions.

Role & Responsibilities;
  • Monitor and analyse information from data systems to evaluate assets performance and provide recommendations to enhance maintenance procedures and energy efficiency
  • Perform data analysis and performance assessments to assist the department in quantifying efficiency opportunities on our portfolio.
  • Report on energy consumption analysis, optimisations outcomes, and maintenance planning ensuring liaison with Operational Maintenance team and Professional Services teams to support our portfolio.
  • Support the deployment of data-led & analytics solutions across the portfolio.
  • Support the development of data-led solutions by identifying improvements based on technical knowledge and market changes.
  • Develop strong & sustainable client relationships and provide effective communications.
  • Provide mentoring and technical assistance for the development of more junior members of the team.
  • Manage energy related queries and investigate on site, including BMS interventions in conjunction with the operational team.
  • Undertake energy audit/survey across our portfolio to initiate the deployment of data-led & analytics solutions.
  • Devise and secure procedures for data capture and analysis with attention to all technical aspect

Candidate Profile;
  • Suitably qualified and an experienced energy manager, preferably degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
  • Experience of project management and facilities management awareness would be advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of the main UK/EU decarbonisation policies, trends and the state of the art of key decarbonisation technologies.
  • Experienced with Building Management System (Trend, Tridium, Siemens, etc.).
  • Experienced with industrial energy usage and building services, including; boilers, steam, heat networks, hot water systems, refrigeration, HVAC, Scada / BMS, CHP, heat pumps, and other renewable energy technology.
  • Experienced with Controls, VSDs and Metering Systems.
  • Experienced with Energy management systems (ISO50001), Electrical infrastructure & systems, Process Optimisation, Efficiency technology design & implementation.
  • Understanding of BREEAM, EPC, NABERS, TM44, LEED or WELL and preferable accreditation in at least one of these.
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, engineering controls expertise, as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Good team interaction skills to be able to actively work with site teams at all levels.
  • UK Driving License – occasional UK travel will be required.
