Semi-Static, 3 Days in Bristol & 2 Days Mobile

Monday to Friday, 8am / 5pm

Salary up to £30,000 + Call Out (1 in 3) + Abundance of Overtime 

Van / Fuel Card / PDA / Laptop / Tools


The UK's leading Facilities Management company are looking for a Fabric Engineer to join a prestigious insurance account based 3 days at their flagship site in Bristol and 2 days mobile covering other office buildings in the area.

Across these office buildings you'll be responsible for reactive & planned maintenance, fabric and general handyman duties as well as dealing and liaising with clients.

Job Responsibilities for a Fabric Engineer:
  • Carry out all planned building / fabric maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate records of works planned and completed.
  • Carry out all reactive works to all technical and building equipment as required, ensuring minimum downtime is experienced.
  • To ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to given specification and ensure timely completion.
  • Understands and works within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
  • Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
  • Ability to carry out fabric repairs and maintenance including plumbing, basic electrical, joinery work, painting and decorating including any preparation works
  • Remain fully aware of customers' needs at all times, therefore maintaining high standards of customer care
  • Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements
Qualifications & Person Specification for a Fabric Engineer:
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in either or Electrical or Plumbing Engineering (desirable)
  • Previous experience working in client-facing environments
  • Previous experience working in Facilities Maintenance
  • Clean full UK driving license
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Well presented
