Regional Surveyor

£35k | 20 days holiday + BH

Here we have a great opportunity for someone with an Engineering background looking to take a small step back and up from the tools

In this role you will be covering the Yorkshire region surveying commercial contracts, identifying defects, repairing when possible and arranging for contractors when not. This is an interesting role and a great opportunity.

Job Purpose:
  • Provide day to day supervision and management of installations and projects within your designated area
  • To ensure standard and compliance is met against key performance indicators
  • To link into the Contracts team around project delivery
  • To link into the Service team to complete reactive and pre-planned maintenance
  • To be accountable for your region, the standard of work within it and ensuring the ALS brand is consistent across all our sites
  • Improve delivery models and feedback

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

 

1. Contract Management and Monitoring

· Support Line Manager to achieve their objectives

  • Help improve regional supply chain
  • Co-ordinating site information
  • Monitoring performance of sub-contractors
  • Co-ordinating regional activities

 

 

2. Financial and Budget Management

  • Work with the Contracts and Commercial team to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Improve efficiencies and delivery models to improve profitability

 

 

3. Organisational
  • Able to work in a busy environment with frequent distractions and interruptions
  • Ordering and maintaining stocks at appropriate levels for regional hub
  • Initiating delegation and escalation of urgent matters
  • Actively work towards achieving the company aims and objectives
  • Reading and complying with company policies and procedures

 

 

 

4. Administration

  • Responses to clients
  • Responses to other departmental managers
  • Preparing & producing reports as necessary and distributing them appropriately
  • Keeping diaries
  • Ensure site specific certificates are kept in date and manage changes/improvements to suit the business needs

 

 

5. Communication
  • Communicating information to other levels of staff as necessary
  • Maintenance or effective communication systems

 

 

 

6. Education
  • Responsible for identifying own self development and training needs

 

 

 

7. Additional Requirements

  • The post holder will be required to work without supervision
  • To undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with nature and grading of the post
