Job Title: Technical Manager – Asset Performance
Location: Glasgow 
Salary: £45,000 per annum

Role Purpose:
As a Technical Manager, you will be an experienced practitioner with in-depth knowledge and expertise in delivering asset survey projects. Your role will involve managing asset verification, lifecycle surveys, and building condition assessments to meet client and project requirements. You will lead a team of asset surveyors and work closely with the Asset Managers and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities & Key Result Areas:

  • Manage the delivery of asset surveys and technical outputs to the required specifications.
  • Oversee asset survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that project plans and bespoke requirements are met.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the on-site asset survey team.
  • Produce progress reports for senior management to provide an accurate reflection of project status.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with different specifications.
  • Provide regular client updates and maintain data for dashboard reporting.
  • Supervise in-house asset survey administration and offer guidance to junior team members.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering asset verification and lifecycle projects.
  • Strong background in hard services engineering or facilities management (FM) across various disciplines.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to manage priorities and meet multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with commercial and risk principles, with an eagerness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strategic outlook.
  • Track record of achieving results with an ambitious approach to the role.

Desired Competencies:

  • Experience in FM and asset management.
  • Proven people management skills, particularly in managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and in presentations.
  • Familiarity with industry standards in asset management (SFG, CIBSE, NRM, Uniclass).
