Salary: £38,000 with the option of contractual overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a half-hour paid break.
Location: Based at Oakham.
Holidays: 25 plus 8 Bank Holidays
Overall Job Purpose: Manage and assist in development and engineering projects at the Oakham site and provide second-line support to the Engineering team.
Key Accountabilities
Improvement Identification: Identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to enhance machine and process effectiveness.
Project Management: Assist in managing engineering projects from inception to completion, including:

- Writing equipment specifications.
- Managing all appropriate resources.
- Implementing and monitoring.
- Ensuring compliance with budgetary limitations.
- Effective handover to production.
Hands-On Approach: This position requires a hands-on approach and is not solely office-based.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Time-served engineer, electrically biased.
- Working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems.
- Understanding and ability to work with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Good computer skills, with CAD systems knowledge; ideally, AutoCAD would be desirable.
- Experience in installing and commissioning new equipment.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety aspects, including contractor control.
- Proven ability to work and deliver to agreed timescales.

- Analytical ability to manage and solve problems of varying complexity.

Salary and Benefits
- Leave: 33 days annual leave, including a shutdown at Christmas.
