Main Purpose

 
  • Provide drawings, drawing details and CAD/REVIT support to the wider organization to the highest standards expected.Key Result Areas (Tasks / Main Duties)
  • Deliver high quality drawings (AutoCAD 2D) and 3D models (REVIT) to the projects team, briefly comprising of:
    • Building Layouts
    • General Arrangement Drawings (GA’s)
    • Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s)
    • Fabrication Drawings
    • Sketches
    • Bracketry & Fixing details
  • Interpret system design(s) and / or site sketches such that the specific project drawings can be produced / amended.
  • Understand system data sheets such that technical data can be inputted onto drawings / schematics.
  • Liaise directly with suppliers and clients with issues pertaining to drawing and model matters.
  • Be responsible for booking in of incoming drawings/models (client and supplier) onto the project specific drawing register.
  • Utilise inhouse 3D packages – CAD MEP Fabrication and REVIT.
  • Attend site (where required) with the project delivery team(s) to assist with surveying and generation of survey drawings.
  • Liaise with Sales Manager / Design Team and assist with initial conceptual design drawings.
  • Be self-critical, check General Arrangements drawings (GA’s & all drawings/models produced) before internal sign off.
  • Attend Internal (& at times external) project commencement/project review meetings when required.
  • Apply Value Engineering Practices (V.E) to a project at drafting/modelling stage and advise project team of opportunities.
  • Learn Quality Management aspect of the role. Learn what steps need to be followed on a project to ensure the correct quality is delivered.
  • Learn to actively drive innovation through the department, from best working practices to new software packages.
  • Work in accordance with Air Technology Systems Ltd Standards and Procedures with a view to continuously improve operation output, efficiency, quality and customer experience:
    • Raise Non-Conformances and actively close-out
    • Raise OFI’s (Opportunities for Improvement) and actively close-out.
  • Actively demonstrate ‘duty of care’ with regards to Health, Safety and the Environment with specific emphasis at drawing/model stage, what measures can be implemented to limit the hazards and risks on a project associated with the works and works of others, this would include for the purpose of installation and maintenance of our plant and equipment.
  • If required detail the residual design hazards on to the General Arrangement Drawings.
